Alot of things has changed since the last time i blogged...i won't say i am very happy with the way things go, but hey, life is always full of changes right? One thing remains the same though...my love for food!
And so, i finally have the time to try 1 of the dessert cafes in my list that i've always wanted to visit....
I only had time for 2 cakes, so definitely 1 of them had the be THAT one that i was eyeing for the longest time ever, the Lychee Rose! Hints of lychee and rose were very subtle, almost non-existent if you had chomped them down in lightning speed. So take the time, to savour it slowly. Not too sweet, it won't have you gagging for water after that.
The 2nd piece i chose is the conventional carrot cake. But its far from perfection, a little dry, you definitely need tea to go with it. Packed with nuts and dried fruit, it just isn't the right choice for me. The slightly salty cream cheese is a saving grace as it adds another dimension to the otherwise bland taste.
Nevertheless, i'll be back for the many other varieties in the glass shelf!
